Even local retail shops offer gift cards or shopping online. Buying gift cards and placing orders for takeout or delivery give our local businesses a cash infusion that can help them weather the storm.

Make Cloth Masks for The Rest of Us

Officials don't want healthy people using medical-grade face masks since there is such a shortage for the medical professionals on the front lines. However, the CDC now suggests people wear a homemade mask if you have to go out in public. While this doesn't replace other guidelines, such as maintaining a 6-foot distance between you and other people, a homemade mask can help prevent the disease from spreading.
