From the Porch: American Opera Idol by Opera Connecticut

Once again Hill-Stead will be the site of the American Opera Idol competition hosted by Opera Connecticut. Bring chairs or a blanket and join us on the West Lawn Saturday, July 20, 2025 from 4:00-5:30pm to listen to some great music and help pick this year’s winner. Information on the contestants will be posted as soon as it becomes available.

Opera Connecticut believes in enriching the lives of our community by offering high quality, affordable live opera performances. Committed to diversity, equity and inclusion in their casting process, Opera Connecticut provides performance opportunities to emerging local artists and works to deepen and broaden the audience’s appreciation and knowledge of opera through pre-performance conversations.

Bring a chair, a blanket and a picnic and join us for an evening of Opera at Hill-Stead. In the event of rain the performance will move inside.
